We are planning a night out there for my friends birthday and was wondering if it is really expensive and worth the trip?

in my view yeah its expensive, depends on what you believe is expensive though, having said that I'm biased because I had a complete nightmare there just after it reopened and had to wait 90 minutes between courses only for the manager to tell me this was normal given that they were busy! - and don't even consider it if any of you are vegetarian!!! having said that you could go, get chips downstairs and drunk at the bar and have a great time! just depends what you're after

  • 90 mins? That is awful. Haven't heard great reports about the restaurant.
    Thanks

We had our Xmas do there, food was lovely, service was very good considering the place was bunged. I set aside 20 quid for gambling, couple of quid a race just to make it interesting had a couple of small wins and walked out with money in my pocket. Their menu is same price as most restaurants, as is their drink, the waiting staff are never far away and the bet taking people were always handy. Good night out but couldn't afford to do it too often.
