Hi there we are looking to replace our everyday plates and bowls as the ones we have are getting chipped and cracked and want something that will hopefully last a good few years. We have been looking at Denby as we have a few cups and they have bounced when dropped and have lasted 4 years so far without damage but i cant afford/justify the 4 place for £120 as we would need 2 sets, so my other options are Tesco have Denby everyday down to £51 or go to the outlet store and see what they have but i cant seem to find much on the denby everyday stuff is it as good as the normal denby?
Any thoughts or recomendations please?

Sorry, I don't know anything about the Denby range - way out of my price range, but I would recommend getting "stoneware" type crockery. It is much tougher than china / porcelain etc & can even stand up to my Dad's washing up:rotfl:He's kind of heavy-handed with it & has chipped no end of plates in his time, but the stoneware still looks great.0

If you are near Costco they usually have Denby sets at good prices. Alternatively there is a Denby outlet shop at McArthur Glen at Livingston or the link below is for Dawson's Department STore - have used them for bed linens before (on the recommendation of a fellow MSE'r) and delivery was very quick,

If it's just everyday crockery, why not use the ultra-cheap stuff you can get in Asda/Tesco? That way it would not matter if it got broken and being plain white it wil go with anything. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I love my denby set. the only problem is when they discontinue it. They will however, remake but it's expensive.0

I got a set that looks similar to denby from sainsburys for £25. its a green colour with a brown edge, very sturdy and a cup bounced of my slate floor the other day! You get 4 large dinner plates, 4 large bowls, 4 mugs and 4 tea plates, very nice and chunky and look more expensive than they were!0

Hi, take a look at Nisbets catering supplies. I get all my white wear from them. Many different grades and types/styles usually all chip resistant, microwaveable, dishwasher safe etc, etc.
