spud -they are nearly identical to mine!
I bought mine from one of the cheapy overseas companies - opticals4less I think. They came from an opticians in a shopping centre in Hong Kong and were excellent. I only wear my glasses for a few minutes last thing at night and a few minutes in the morning when I don't have my lenses in so I was willing to take the risk of them not quite suiting, but they way you measure everything first means it really works!. I saved hundreds because I have a very high prescription and were a blimmin' bargain.
Here we are - these are mine

I have them in dark purple, which they don't seem to do any more.
Actually, must order some contact lenses........"Stay Wonky":D

They are VERY similar BB. I have a very high prescription too

I would really recommend them. Use your prescription and then measure your current specs to see if they are the same dimensions (roughly). The only thing you need to measure yourself is the distance in mm between your pupils. OH did it for me because otherwise you have to try to look in the mirror and at the tape measure at the same time!! I had all coatings etc and the thinnest lenses possible (they do some there that weren't available in the UK at the time) and I paid £125 instead of £475 for a similar frame/lenses at Vision Express (and they would have been a bit thicker - eek on a -12.75 and a -13 prescription!). Ithink delivery was about 2-3 weeks because it was a high prescription.
Also have a look around for a discount code.
I could do with getting my eyes tested, it's been over 2 years. Bit stupid really as I get the test for free, don't know why I don't get around to doing it "Stay Wonky":D

Blooming heck BB how blind are you? :rotfl:
I thought my eyes were bad
My only worry with these sites is this......what if you dont suit them?
I am a bit fussy about my specs, cos I wear mine all the time.
I need to try on every pair in the opticians, at least once:o:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
well, this is it jinks - I was ok about it because I wear them so little each day. I did find their measuring thing was excellent - you measure every aspect of your current frame and it can find similar sized frames, I have quite a wide head (it's all that brain in there
) so needed a wide frame so the sides sit at the edges of my face.
If I were buying them from a shop, I'd be the same - try the whole lot on. I did spend ages on the website, but I was pleased with the glasses when they arrived - just took a bit of getting used to as it was a change in prescription - lots of moving, swirly ground!!
I know - blind as a bleedin' bat me........:rotfl:"Stay Wonky":D
