Hi all,
Can anyone tell me which site is the best for music/MP3 downloads?
Are there any that are completely free or do they all charge? If they do charge, can you tell me which is the cheapest and safest?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks all :-)

There are some free downloads at Amazon.com’s Free Music Downloads section.djglich wrote:Are there any that are completely free or do they all charge?古池や蛙飛込む水の音0 -
That Amazon link is excellent - I first found out they did that last year by reading this:
http://arts.guardian.co.uk/netmusic/page/0,,1127237,00.html
This Guardian page shows details of free downloads on record companies' websites, and also recommends some pay-for services.
I would also highly recommend https://www.copycommaright.blogspot.com for free cover versions of songs, Large Hearted Boy's blog (search for it on Google) for loads of freebies, and https://www.archive.org where lots of free MP3s get archived after they're first offered for public consumption. There are lots of live recordings here too, where brilliant bands like Nizlopi get to show how good they really are, beyond their JCB song at Xmas!
iTunes - although it's the biggest online music shop around, is actually quite good - although you do need to download the iTunes software (free) to access it. Worth doing though...0 -
