Hi all,

Im off on holiday in about 4 weeks and wanted to build up a good base tan before getting there so have decided to jump on the sunbed a couple of times a week until then. I was just wondering what the best cream to use is? I know they say that you get a better tan with a cream than without, but wondered if the different ones gave different results, or if they were basically just the same thing in different wrapping. Also, I dont want anything with any sort of mega tint in it, just saomething that will help the prcess along.

I know there will be a few on here who dont like sunbeds, and will tell me to keep away from them but its my choice, and well, I want to do it, so any advice on which product is best (and most reasonably priced) to use would be much obliged.

Thanks :D

  • i get a good tan maximiser cream (bronze ambition ar Solaresse)from Savers for £1.99. You can buy the tingle one (gives best results, but makes you bright red and tingly for an hour or two) or the regular one which is also pretty good. If you don't have a savers near you, you could always try Bodycare? I'm sure i've seen it in there too. Beats paying a couple of quid for a small sachet, and they are just as good.

Oh and check poundland. Now and again they have Hawaiin Tropic sunbed cream which is also very good.

Apologies if im not making much sense. It's friday and the kids are at their grandparents, so haviong a well earned vodka!!!lol

Now Im no expert, but as far as Ive been told they help the skin tan faster as they absorb the rays easier. I was a little worried that that meant I was moe exposed to skin cancer, but having thought about it, you would still be exposed to the same amount of UVA or UVB rays, so there should be no increased risk of cancer, but somehow they just help the skin colour more quickly.

Sorry I cant be anymore scientific than that....:D
