Anyone used Crash

A friend of mine just had someone run into the back of his car and asked me if I have ever used the Crash service. I have seen the ads on tv but never known anyone who has used them. Anyone here have any experience with them?

Know a couple of friends that used then, never heard any complainits. The other persons insuracne company will not like you using them as they will add thier fee to the claim so expect a phone call from the other persons insurance asking for them to deal with the claim.

No doubt they offer a very good service (provided your not at fault) but in principal these 'helper' companies will end pushing up everyones insurance as the average cost of a claim will increase.

A friend had a issue with an insurance company dragging there heels over getting his vehicle repaired and a replacement issued whilst it was being repaired, he told them he would ring crash and get them to act on his behalf, the other persons insurance company couldn't do enough for him once he mentioned them. I guess that even the threat of using them can be enough to get things moving.

yeah they're probably good for the customer but any insurance company/broker will tell you that they're charlatans! overcharge on everything, scam more money every which way they can. but like i said handy for the person using them.

I was in a minor accident a year or two ago (not my fault) and my insurance company passed my claim onto Crash for them to handle. Have to say I found them very effiencent and helpful and definitely took away a lot of the stress.

When my wife had a minor accident, the garage she went to for repairs was surprised that she didn't want to use Crash.

It was only a minor accident, so there was no major hassle involved in handling it ourselves.

As pointed out above, they do make dealing with things a lot easier for the claimant, but they do bump up policy prices across the board, which is why she didn't want to use them.
