business CCJ and personal credit rating
Options
My wife has just been turned down for a loan (she has never been turned down for anything before).
Could it be due to a ccj my Ltd company aquired a while back (company at my home address) which is still unsettled).
I also missed one months payment on another mortgage I have on another property (about 8 months)and haven't repaid the arrears.
Could this also be the cause and is it worth making the missed payment now.
This is our only bad credit is there anyway I can seperate my/my business finances from hers to make her creditworthy again.

Was she involved with the limited company in any way such as being named company secretary or something?
If so this will have affected her credit rating as well.
Is she involved in way with your other mortgage eg is your home mortgage in some way securing part of the other mortgage?
If the answer to above is a definite No and she has no adverse info on her credit file she could try a notice of disassociation with credit reference agencies like Experian etc.
Also consider her financial position in isolation - does she have an income to meet repayments?

Yes unfortunately she is the company secretary, the mortgage in question is soley in my name and the mortgage on this property is in hers.she has sufficient income to cover the loan I am pretty sure it is something to do with the ccj unfortunately.0
