How to get rust stains out of car boot?

Any ideas please? Something (no idea what) has been lying in a car boot and has left 2 sizeable rust marks on the car boot carpet.
Will they shift do you think, or are they there for good now? I suspect they've already been there quite some time.
Tried a household carpet cleaner but it didn't really help much.

Lemon juice is king. Soak the stain in either fresh or bottled lemon juice and leave for an hour, then blot the stain away with kitchen roll. You may need to do this a number of times to get it all out. Good luck0
