It was my first time with a silicone cake mould - I rubbed some oil around the inside before pouring in the cake mixture and left it for 10 mins after baking before trying to turn it out. Have read some people don't like them but I did, I guess it wasn't as perfect as it may have been in a metal tin but it was fine once covered in icing.

I have a chocolate 'bug' mould that i used for the party too but I didn't have to do anything to that, just melted the choc in the microwave, poured it in and popped them in the freezer for a few mins and they popped out just fine.

All this talk of cakes is making me feel hungry now...but am on a diet boo hooo!!
