Anti-social behaviour...ASBOs?

My elderly mother-in-law lives in a country town, shes plagued by teenage morons circling the town with their 2000db exhausts making a huge noise nuisance of themselves, late into the night.

1. What acion can she take...allowed to record their number plates, number of cicruits they make etc?

2. What action can police take and how enforceable is it?

Not saying your M.I.L should do this but some options for you

1. Small (About Egg sized) stones work a treat on ALL typoes of windscreen

2. If you are a crap thrower or can't get a hiding place close enough to the road try a Catapult & Ball Bearings (Wear gloves so no Finger Prints are left on the Ball Bearings)

3. Police Style Stinger thrown across the road in front of them. Hmm come to think of it this may not be a good idea

On a more serious note, all I think you can do is advise the police and as you say maybe take number plate to pass onto the police. (Possibly won't make a blind bit of difference) But at least if their parents get a visit from the Police (Highly likely these young Mummy's Boys still live at home with their Parents.. poor we kids) it may at least go some way to trying to sort it out. Maybe Environmental Health can test the exhausts for Noise Pollution?? Worth a go.

I still like the Catapult & Ball Bearing Idea though!!
