Hi all,
Anyone got any ideas on where to buy (adults) inline skates? Somewhere around Belfast or surrounds? (Am in Killyleagh)
Something not horribly expensive - I'm not that good a skater (yet)! and they may not get the wear to justify loads and loads of money!
If anyone wants to meet up and go skating in some of the parks during the evenings in Summer, let me know, 'cause that sounds like fun.
Ta.

I saw in line blades in sports direct at abbey centre on Sunday last week. Can't remember how much exactly they were and I think they were adult sizes, might be worth a look??0

Thanks Arkonite_babe.
I will go check that out as JJB at Forestside didn't have any. Roll on the summer months. (and maybe a trip to casualty!)#96 of the Norn Iron Club

Another one to try is M and M Sports, I got mine there at a really good price for decent blades a few years ago. I was a reasonable skater in my youth  and blades however are a different matter entirely, don't go without all the padding you can get on your body
Oh and your brakes are on the back of the boot, not the toe as the quad roller boots are
*must dig mine out one of these days for the hoot and show dd how it's done!!*0 -
Ta. I've actually found my 'old' ones in the attic and so long as I don't wear really thick socks they seem to fit fine. So they will do (until I find some money and want a new pair!) I have all the padding. For me, wrist guards are the really really essential bits!
Had a go on them at the weekend. Slightly more difficult than I remembered! I've been taking ice skating lessons recently and inline skating is a bit different! Balance is different. Can't balance so good on one leg on inlines.
Anyway, not many places at home to skate - no good surfaces, but at least my drive has a slight slope on it so I can practice downhill turns without major panic! Then in the summer I'm thinking of trying out Ormeau park in the evenings (have various classes on until then or I'd be there this week).
oooo, exciting.#96 of the Norn Iron Club
