never heard of swishing before either - looks like a good idea - swap clothes, have a bit of fun & give the rest to a charity to benefit
emilyemmason, thank you highlighting something that several people hadn't heard of before but this wasn't the board to do it on - the 'Grabbit' board is for bargains or offers that have an expiry date. You're new, so possibly not aware
As Swishing is in the MSE spirit & it seems to be on-going (with listed dates on web-site) perhaps 'Shop Don't Drop' or 'Discussion Time' in 'The Moneysavers Arms' would have been a better place to post
Oh, and welcome to MSE

I went to the UK Aware environmental show in London a coupla weeks back and they had a swishing event there. It was great fun, complete mix of clothing/shoes/accessories - some were new and quality brands and others were old and tatty but I came away with an armful of different stuff:-)
Check out the photos on the Daisygreen magazine site of the event - http://www.daisygreenmagazine.co.uk/lead/living-lead/swishing-success-at-ukaware/0 -
I went to this this year on Friday and there was barely anything there. I had to stay several hours longer at the show to try to get 4 items for the 4 I took..What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0
