can i hold 2 isa's

I have a halifax fixed rate isa which matures at the end of this month i have reinvested the capital and interest in a Halifax saver direct isa what i would like to know is can i open another isa with the A&L which pays a bit more interest

After 5th of April you can open a new ISA anywhere. At the moment you can open a new ISA only if you neither opened other new ISA during this financial year, nor added any amount to your old ISAs.
You can have more than one ISA, but you cannot open more than one or pay money into more than one during a finacial year.0 -
If you mean can you move the money from Halifax to Alliance and Leicester you can, but make sure you tell the A&L that you want to transfer in from another ISA, DON'T withdrawal the money from Halifax and redeposit with A&L else it will be classed as this years allowance.
Halifax and A&L must make the transfer NOT you!0
