NTL Family pack for +£13

I've just got the letter from NTL that for an extra £13 I can get digital Cable with the family pack for and I quote "an extra £13 a month".
Now currently I get telephone (£10.50) and 1Mb b/band (£9.99).
So for an extra £13 I can get a full family pack - usual price £19 (£21 on sky).
Customer services say that this is a legit ongoing offer and not short-term.
What is anyone else's experience of this? For me it sounds great - I save £2/month and get all the channels I want
BTW, I am currently on sky (£15 2pack) so this is worth it for me, and apparently my card will work as a "freesat" (means I can still get Sky3, FTA that is not on cable) until they decide to upgrade the cards (then buy one I suppose?).
This is fine, as I can now move the sky receiver into a second room as a free-to-air only.
This also means that I don't have to spend on wiring up a second room, which I was planning to do (also offsets any savings 'cancel' threat to sky).
PS. Sky cancellations were able to offer 1/2 price family pack for 3 months if anyone was interested.

.......... You say that you are on NTL and pay 9.99 for you internet and 10.50 for your line rental.
I am also on NTL and my 1 year offer has just finished, ( Line rental was free and internet was 17.99)
TOTAL ~ £17.99per month
Was now being charged for both Internet and Line Rental(and calls)
TOTAL ~ £28.49 per month
I telephoned them yesterday, as i think this is very expensive and said i could not afford to pay the line rental and i was given 3 different offers, which i choose the cheapest ~ 6 month offer for Internet and Line Rental for a TOTAL of ...... £16.99.
How do other people differ in their prices and services, would be interesting.~~~~~~~~~~~~:kisses3: "In Raising Your Children;" :kisses3:"Spend Half As Much Money n Twice As Much Time."0
