OMG what an awful situation to have to deal with.

No helpful advice I'm afraid but had something similar where I moved and the tennant that went into my old house was running up debts using my name. Didn't get as far as debt collectors thankfully but I had to get a letter from my solicitor confirming the date I sold my house before they'd leave me alone. It took months.

Cyril82 - thank you so much for the advice! It's good to know that even if it is a legitimate bailiff they can't just break in when I'm not there. I feel better now :) (I was planning on taking my valuables to work just in case hehe)

I'm going to write & fax the company again tomorrow and i've left a copy of my tenancy agreement by the door so it's at hand if anyone does call.

    Thanks again :)
Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...
