I bought the flat for 120k in 2003. Have not had it valued recently. Last valuation was 180k in 2006/7. currently owe around 92k.
I had not yet approached HSBC and I had no idea that i would need all that info. will call them tomorrow and find out. Thanks
i need to put in new central heating, new kiitchen, new bathroom and general decorating.0 -
speak to them re a deal on standard variable over a term you would take a personal loan over for the extra only. They may (but doubt it) want a valuation and a small fee (maybe £150 or so) and see what the numbers come out at. Do the maths and see what makes sense.

Should be do-able with HSBC. Bear in mind you don't 'extend' the mortgage as such, it will be a seperate loan that runs alongside it.0
