Anyone interested in the jackpots - there is now a jackpot for the Winner of the Apprentice. The bookies have Kate to win, but you've got to think who (now Lord) Alan Sugar might hire. I usually chose the one who's not my favourite:

Good luck if you go for it. :j

I sent Curly a note telling him off for wasting my time with the Apprentice jackpot. If there is a risk of loosing our very hard earned points then he should bloody well pay out when we do win! grrrrr I'll let you know what he says

This is their response - quick for once too

The way the Jackpot Pools work is that members stake a number of PiggyPoints and all of these are added to the pot. This pot or pool is then split between the winning entries. The number of PiggyPoints you get back is based on the number of winning entries (as well as the amount you staked). In some Pools , like in this, most entries will have selected the correct answer so this means that there are more members who are owed and therefore less PiggyPoints to be shared around.

In this case you got your original stake back because every entry, or nearly all entries selected the correct answer.

It doesn't happen too often but you should keep in mind that you're less likely to get back more PiggyPoints if most members are aware of the likeliest outcome, or if there aren't that many answer options (i.e. one or two). In cases where the outcome is more difficult to predict, or if there are lots of options (such is in the Lotto Jackpot) then if you guess correctly you're more likely to win back plenty of PiggyPoints.

Hopefully this helps explain how the Jackpot Pools work a little better for you

Thats me done with jackpots - what a waste of time!

    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!
