yeah lidl never have much stock!
  • I was told a while back by one of the managers, that sometimes they never even get the stock or maybe only one of each item. Sorry guys, don't hold your breath on these offers :-/
  • I bought a PC from Lidl earlier in the year. You have to be at the store before opening on the day the offer starts otherwise no chance of getting one.

The PC's are suberb though and a real bargain. All top quality parts.
At the time the graphics card alone retailed at around £300.(The machine cost me £799)

I've always built my own PC's in the past but I couldn't build one with the same spec for anything near the price Lidl were selling them at.

    Lidl really do suck!
  • Hey they aren't that bad! I'm a recent convert. Yes, it would be great to just waltz in any time and get the best of their special offers - but it's no secret that this isn't going to happen. I like them more for their everyday prices and what I know I will get there - OK choice is rather limited, but I have shaved a lot off my shopping bill these past few weeks. Some of that foreign looking stuff is actually rather good. A future lot of special offers coming up includes half price bog roll!! Now if ever there was anything worth getting at half price it's something that is designed to be thrown down the loo, no matter how soft it might be. I am gonna stock up... ::)
  • Word of warning

DON'T BUY THE FRUIT AND VEG!!

It doesn't store very well and goes off within a few days, no use if you are buying in for the week. :-/
  • :(...have also noticed fairly frequently that hardware items in Lidl NI stores are dearer than identical items in Lidl Scotland (possibly food items too...haven't checked). From small things for example £1.49 in NI, £0.99 in Scotland, to larger items eg £30 in NI and £25 in Scotland. Seems to be that NI prices are converted from the Euro prices in Eire as the NI shops are part of Lidl's Southern Ireland operation. The NI and Scotland promotions do not run at same time, but often are within a week or so of each other. Haven't checked out differences in Computer hardware items, but guess same applies.

  • Not always, the last time the external hard drive was on offer, it was £10 cheaper than England. Probably depends on the exchange rate.
  • Just to add to the last post. Was in Donegal this weekend and called into LIDL. Prices in Eoros (obviously), but when converted were substantially more than our local prices.

So you MSE's across the border - do your shopping here!
