4 weeks wait

Telephoned Birmingham court this morning and the first available appointment
Is 4 weeks time

Was hoping for sooner as fed up with creditors giving me a hard time on the phone I guess it's not a good thing to tell them about this appointment incase they get more heavy handed ?

Could they try and put some sort of charge on my house in the next 4 weeks if they was to find out ?

The othercproblem I have is a bailiff called last week and wants me to pay £3900 pounds to him and Ivan not sure what to tell him now as I am sure he will be in touch anytime now

Keep ringing the court on a daily basis...they can & sometimes do have cancellations

I told my creditors in advance of the court , it didnt make much difference , i stopped answering the phone after I had explained this.
Not sure about the bailiff though , have you considered making them some sort of offer , just to get them off your back while you wait for the bankruptcy hearing?

Be aware of favouring a creditor regardless of reason.;) If you decide to offer them something make sure you offer the same to all your creditors. Dx

so how would you propose i get out of this situation ? The bailiff came around last week and hand delivered some paper work to my wife due to the fact i was not here. When i looked it was a walking possetion order. They send me another copy in the post the next day asking me to sign it and send it back. This listed my sons car which is in his name and nothing todo with me.

What would you do next as i cannot really afford to give them anything and i don't think they will like part payment due to the large sum they are asking ??

Its a ccj which was issued on the 28th march 2009 and the summons said if i paid in 28 days the ccj would be cancelled.

The bailiff called the day after the CCJ was granted and said the claiment had instructed them to collect rather than wait the 28 days

Oh dear, did you let them in, or did they manage to make an inventory of any of your possesions, (better known as a walking posesion order) not that it matters after BR as that takes care of it, but just need to know what stage exactly you are at now;)

No they were not allowed in the wife said he was very nice and polite. He made a walking posesion order but no one signed it and put my sons car on it that was parked on the drive as he was at work with me.

The day after i had a copy posted to me and asking me to sign it and send it back which i have not done yet.

Do you think it would be best for me to fill in one of those forms and send a cheque for £35 to the court to have this adjourned and offer some sort of payment with the SOA and send a copy to the bailiffs to get me a few weeks grace before my BR hearing ?
