    Hi,

I have the previous version (CLP-300N), and it is very good. I am still on the original cartridges, but I did buy some spares from e-buyer when they had an offer on.

One point to bear in mind is that Samsung support is excellent. Their technical support are UK based (or were when I needed them) and VERY knowledgeable, and the on-site service could not be faulted.

    Hope that helps,

    Regards,

    White.

I use a Samsung b&w office laser (the ML-2250) which is also overspecified for what I need: it's a small office printer which can do a decent volume, but I've got it for occasional use at home. I really like it, though - on the odd occasion I do need to print hundreds, or getting on 1,000, pages it works quickly and smoothly. Hasn't jammed once in all the time I've had it. The toner also seems to last longer than specified, oddly; the economy mode looks almost indistinguishable from normal, too. And I can verify that Samsung tech support are excellent (I struggled to figure out how to put the ink in the first time, embarassingly).

It does take up more space than a 'personal' printer, but if you've got the space for it...

for the earlier samsung models you can get very cheap toner from ebay(just serach for 'clp toner' seems to be £20 - £30 for a set), don't know how good it is though as i'm still on the original cartridges

edit:sorry looked again some sets are more, seems to depend on if they are shipped from uk or china

Got told by someone who works for Staples that HP are the only printer company that provide you with full size cartridges, not just tester ones which you have to replace quickly...not sure if this is just the case for inkjet, but may be worth looking into...
