Changing jobs and getting a mortgage

Hi,
My partner and I are going to apply for a mortgage at the end of May 2009 (defaults are removed from my credit file then) but my partner wants to change jobs to be nearer to where we intend to live.
She is a nurse and is applying for another nursing job with a different NHS Trust.
So my question is: Will her changing jobs only weeks before applying for a mortgage negitively influence our mortgage application?
Thanks,
Dan

I certainly dont think it will improve the circumstances, but providing there is proof of long term income from the previous job you should be fineNever Say Die I've tried it and it doesn't actually make people die0 -
It will reduce the credit score lenders apply to your application, but whether this will render it too low is anyones guess - you will not know unless you apply. Also watch out for any probationary period as most lenders cant lend during probattion although some will consider it.
Now, if you have a high score currently - why not apply now as is? If the property is far from her current work though, a lender can decline if they feel the traveling distance is not sustainable.0
