Drying your own fruit?

Evening all:)
I came across and old wartime tutorial on how to dry your own apple rings, and wondered if anyone had tried drying their own fruit at home? My baby son loves dried banana but they are so expensive to buy in packs!

Evening!
You can slice bananas, dip in a mixture of lemon & orange juice (1:2) & bake in a coolish oven (about 170, maybe less if fan oven) for a couple of hours or so until they're quite crisp. Have dried apple in the oven, too, again needs dipping in citrus juice (stops fruit going brown). Think you can do it in the microwave, but not brave enough! Not tried berried fruit, though, btu fancy that, so I can add own brambles to cereal!
