Please help!

I am desperately trying to sort myself out and reduce my outgoings and pay off my bad debts.

I have just changed my broadband package to a £14.99 a month one (saving myself £3 a month).

I also decided to change my home phone (currently with BT), went on a switching website and decided to go for the new post office offer - I am quite a light user on my home phone. Unfortunately I have just received a letter from the post office to say they cannot proceed as I have failed a credit score (I didn't realise I would need to have one! should have read the small print!). Does anyone know of any company I can use where I wouldn't be credit scored, or am I stuck with BT???

i dont know if this helps but i pay £17,99 to aol and £4,99, for that i get broadband and free evening and weekend calls i pay bt line rental only.....ive slashed my phone bill£80,00 per quater hope this helps reguards andrew

You really are better to leave your line rental with BT as the only advantage of the PO line rental offer was to gain the £50.

Pop across to the Telephone Boards and you'll find plenty of helpful people

stay with BT but sign up with call1899, they charge 3p per call (not per minute) for all normal landline calls made at any time. So you can talk for an hour for 3 p (i think you need to redial after 1 hour. https://www.call1899.co.uk.... there are other similar see Martinstips)
The reason PO do a credit check is of course because you pay after the event so you have credit.
