I could not believe our luck, just got a letter from BMS our mortgage payment next month is £0 zero, nada ziltch. Ok, to the cynics out there, I know it will go up like a rocket in Sept, when below base rate tracker comes to an end, but until then yippee.
Are there many more out there in the same boat?

Don't mean it to come across like that - just couldn't believe it. I shall be keeping the letter and framing it. It can't be that often something like that happens.0

So now is the time you should be making a payment anyway to overpay and reduce the term/capital.
If it stays that way for a few months your capital wont be reducing and the interest will catch up with you some time later no? depending on the length of your deal. I'd be merrily overpaying!Bless Martin's Little Cotton Socks. I thank him for giving us MSE. Look what its grown into!

I'm with Newbird - I'd look to overpay something, if not the whole amount, but each to their own!0 -
Stick the money you're saving in the best easy access savings account you can find.
Earn a bit of interest on it.
Pay a lump sum off when the tracker deal expires.
Oh, and get yourself off interest only. It's a mugs game.0 -
Hard to believe init. Good news for you though!
Better get overpaying while the rates are low!Squish0 -

Why do you think IO is a mugs game? I could give you a few good reasons why it's exactly the opposite. ;-)
It depends on the circumstances of the individual.0 -
