Those nice people at Somerfield are giving away what they describe as £119.00 worth of knives (set of three) in their March magazine. There is a charge of £7.95 for postage, but still a great bargain. Stocks are reported as "very limited" so hurry before all the real customers get them!!

But I can't get the link to work?"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -

Thanks - the meat cleaver looks a bit lethal!"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."

This offer has been around before with the News of the world, the Mail etc etc and I seem to remember that you may have to wait a long time for them to arrive (couple of months in some cases). But they are pretty good for the £8 delivery charge. Also, I remember reading that although it says you can wash these in the dishwasher....don't, hand wash and don't air dry them as it can lead to rusting
£119 RRP though? sounds like they might have doctored that a little

Thanks for posting this offer.
I think (sadly) that is *has* been seen before and that people didn't think much of it, or at least the company and its adverts. The company has had a bit of a slapped wrist over misleading the public with what it claimed/said, thought it looks like they've playing the game correctly now.
All in all I reckon eight quid might not be that bad for these, but don't believe for a moment that they're "worth" £120. They're available to buy at that price (in one shop), but no-one would. I imagine they're hoping you order more than just these knives (for example some silly electric pepper grinder for "only" £30).
I have no idea how long these things keep their edge....

You can pick these knives up on any open market or car boot for around a fiver and the steel is as soft as recycled bean tins, you can blunt them cutting a loaf of bread !
