Dry cleaning costs

Options
I have a short wool coat I need to get dry cleaned. But I have no idea on what sort of prices dry cleaners cost to clean anything! whats competative? and are chainstores better then one-off stores in your experience?

I just wondered, what price do you pay to get your coat dry cleaned? (without the use of Tesco Clubcard vouchers would be helpful for me personally!)

(oh, and I am in London -where things seem to 'naturally' cost more!)

Had thought leaing it an hour to get a response would be enough- guess I'll have to go answer my own question (and next time use yahoo answers!)

I've just paid a discounted £55 to get a pair of lined curtains dry cleaned. They are big but the first quote I got was over £70 and I had to negotiate them down from that.

I try to save up and taek advantage of the multi clean offers at Morrisons dry cleaners but they are really mean now - it used to be 5 items for a set price and a suit was one item now it is 3 for a set price and a suit counts as two so much less of a bargain.

Out of interest has anyone tried the home dry cleaning kits you can buy? I'm curious to know if they are worthwhile

Lakeland have one - below, but it's had mixed reviews
