CSA Variation Order - Please Please Help

I shall try and keep this short and stick to the facts. My husband (prior to us getting married) had a 1 night stand 12 years ago, the girl got pregnant and had a little boy but will not let us see him.
My husband has paid monies for years which obviously she was happy with as she was claiming Income Support and we were giving directly to her. 2 years ago she moved in with a boyfriend and they bought a house together. Out of the blue we have received a letter from the CSA which she has written which is so detailed that we feel violated.
Basically over the last 11 years my husband and myself have bought property to rent out as he is self employed and we did this as something for our retirement. Although the mortgages are interest only and the rent only covers the mortgages, it was more of a long term investment.
This girl has now written to the CSA claiming we have assets over #65,000 (even including a flat I bought prior to my marriage which I used to live in).
I have worked so hard over the last 11 years (full time and overtime) to support my husband (whilst he has worked on these properties) and my 2 children whilst we have tried to work towards our future (never hiding anything).
Is it possible that this woman can take a share of everything we have worked for whilst we cannot see my husbands son and she has never worked and never intends to.
If she can, how are we supposed to pay her as the assets everything the properties are worth over the mortgage are obviously tied up and will be until we sell them? If the properties go up in value can she keep applying for variation orders so we keep having to up the monies we give?
I am so unhappy about the situation as I feel I have missed out on my children by working towards our future when this girl has sat at home. Our home life is now so strained that my marriage is now very 'rocky'.
Please Please can anyone give me some advice.

First of all, if your partners ex was receiving monies from your partner privately but she was claiming income support and not declaring it, then she is committing fraud. Secondly if she was on income support, then she had no choice but to go through the CSA as this was a requirement. If the flat is in your name, as far as I am concerned, this cant be brought into the equation. Also as far as I am aware, the CSA can only start to calculate from when they were approached. If the ex was claiming Income Support for all these years, the CSA should have been involved all that time ago. When are the csa saying that your ex should be paying from, are they claiming arrears? Dont let this mess up your marriage. What you need to do is read the csa pamphlets in depth, read up on all the websites and and write a list of everything that comes to mind and write and call the csa to get actual answers. There is a wealth of information on here. I am an PWC who is chasing my ex for a lot of money as he hasnt been supporting his kids properly, but not all NRP are bad nor are all PWC's. Just hang on in there and things will eventually work out. Just work it through with a cool head and things make more sense. Good luck0
