Hargreaves Lansdown are not my 'favourite company', indeed I am not even a customer. But that's because my investment approach is not suited to what they offer -for most people who are suited they offer a cost effective, fast, transparent and information rich online service .

Many people don't want obscure unnamed local IFAs whose expertise they cannot judge visiting their home and selling them financial products. It may be different if someone comes recommended or has been advising them for years.

Only for DIY customers. Their advice service is very expensive.

What exactly has this to do with impaired life annuities? The IFAs that you recommend are just as obscure and unnamed.
