I would complain about this - I've had similar trouble in hotels before but usually there hae been duty staff who could do something about it.
I would want to know why no staff were available - it all sounds a bit unreasonable and I would certainly expect Travelodge to investigate what happened. I would also expect a refund of a proportion, or possibly all, of the cost of the room.ELITE 5:2
