Hi my wife is about to start an new job and finished with her previous employer on the 11/4, as agreed with the MD. She has been told that she will not be paid her final wage until the end of the month (when all wages are paid), nearly 3 weeks after her employment ended. Is this right?

It's always been that wherever I've worked.0

Yes it is still the same payroll department dealing with her final pay.0

Yes, that is how it normally works. It makes sense given you would normally have to wait until the end of the month to get your money even if you'd worked until the end of the month.0

Makes sense to me too. I have been communicating with our payroll people today about what's due at the end of this month: working an extra calculation into the system isn't a trivial thing.Signature removed for peace of mind0
