Practising new signature?

Has anyone practised their new signature before the big day? I haven't so far and hadn't really thought about it - to be honest it's always been in the back of my mind that it's bad luck.

But I was at a family gathering at the weekend and a couple of people asked if I'd practised yet. Now that I think about it, I wonder if I should  After 30-odd years, my current signature is second nature, and is more squiggle than recognisable letters. However I can't keep it as it is at least a vague representation of my current name, but not even remotely like my married name will be. Maybe I should be practising so that I don't have to just print my name to start off with, since it's going to be on my bank cards and stuff for at least a couple of years. What's everyone else doing/done?

    I have mine sorted

I used it on DS2's nursery application. Thought he would be starting in August, and we would be married by then, so I signed with my new name.:D

However, he got a place earlier than expected a few weeks back, so I've used my new name on lots of forms since then.

    6 weeks tomorrow!!!:j

  • I have been practicing from the first night I met my OH!!!
  • I didn't practise at all - didn't even occur to me! - but wished I had when I suddenly had to start signing things, sure it's changed everytime I've done it!! At least you don't have to worry about it for the day!
