Shared equity mortgages

Can anyone advise as to which lenders are offering mortgages which will allow the deposit to come from the "My Choice Homebuy Scheme"?
I've made an appointment to see an IFA about this and she is extremely unhelpful, rude and agressive and I have real doubts about arranging a mortgage through her. If nothing else, I'd at least like to double check the market before I see her.
TIA

Just see someone else!
You do not have to use the MCHB suggested IFA's in my experience (from my area) two of them are outright cowboys, but two of them are actually very good.
With MCHB you can use anyone you like to arrange your mortgage, but you must have your affordability checked by one of the recommended IFA's who will try to get your business.

I actually have an IFA that I've used for years for savings and investments and I'd much rather go through him for my mortgage - or organise my own! - , however I've just been told by the MCHB IFA that "40% of mortgages fell through because of incompetance when filling in the forms" and that "I find it really hard to do [get to exchange] and I'm an IFA so most people will have no chance!"

Thats a total blag!
Who was it who gave you that line?
Imagine if your completely green and didnt use MSE, you'd take that everytime! Just thank her for her time and say you will be using the IFA you have a relationship with. If they cause any problems for you just complain to the Housing Association!
Good Luck, and let us know how it goes

I was informed by my socilitor who is dealing with my mychoice homebuy that if you dont use a recommended IFA most are free by the way then thames valley will put your application to the bottom of the pile! This has been decided just this year due to other IFA and solicitors being unaware of the scheme in detail. b.t.w both my IFA and solicitor are fantastic and recommended by thames valley! good luck.0
