Peoples experience with Payplan

Hi all, I've not posted for a while but have a couple of questions about peoples experiences with Payplan.
Last Friday I mailed them back the authority to deal with creditors and D.D. bank form to take monthly payment from me. I today rung to check if they have received them (after e-mailing and getting no reply) and they said it can take a week for them to received?? I was on work phone so wasn't able to question this. Is this what others have experienced?
Secondly I have received a letter this morning from Direct Legal & Collections re an Egg loan which I'm behind with demanding just over £9k immediately (quite how they think I can afford this when I can't keep up with the monthly repayments I can't work out
I rang them and advised them that I'm dealing Payplan and I've sent of a copy of the letter as they requested. If it's going to take over a week to deal with I'm worried D.L&C will start taking further action. Any advice?

I've never dealt with Payplan but have never heard a bad word about them. They deal with hundreds of people so they probably do have a bit of a bag log! Just trust them and be patient.

As for the Egg loan let 'em go whistle!
What further action can they possbily take? You don't have the money to pay them and your going through Payplan! They will have to wait just like all your other creditors!
Good luck with your DMP!

Have you got a justabank logon? How do you email Payplan? I email direct from my justabank account. Get one of these accounts and on the correspondence from Payplan you should have a name and direct contact number to your case officer. Spk to him and get the justabank account. With this you can view everything regarding your DMP. You can also opt to have any letters that require your signature from Payplan to be downloadable from the justabank account and you can print 'em and avoid the delay of waiting for the letters to turn up ( they are usually sent 2nd class). I asked several questions via my account last night and got an email this afternoon. I got a letter from egg today advising me that the d/d had been sent back from my bank saying it has been cancelled. So through my justabank account I've emiled my case officer and asked him to advise me whether or not i should email egg and let them know i've enterend a DMP. Hope this helps and hope am not teaching you to 'suck eggs'!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Never heard of Justabank
How do I set this up?
I e-mailed the person who's details were on the letter with my original bumph from Payplan. Will call Egg and get stroppy with them later as they know I'm entering a DMP yet they've passed it on to a collection company :mad:0 -
Hi, I'm with Payplan and they are very good. If you have a look at FAQs on their website https://www.payplan.com there are links to Justabank. I think Payplan have to set up your account for you once your DMP is in place, but once its set up you can track how much you've paid - it's really useful.Total debt May 2005 £83,232

I spoke to them yesterday and within minutes they had emailed me my logon and password. Give that direct number to payplan a ring and get it set up. Do payplan know about your dealings with egg? If not, let them know, in fact let them know about any dealings you have with your creditorsThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Hi IWSMDO!
It's normal for companies to sell the debt on to debt collection agencies once you have been issued with a default notice (I have been with Payplan for a year now and have found them to be superb). Debt agencies actually buy the debt off the creditor for pennies on the pound. Payplan said that debt collection agencies are usually easier to deal with than the actual creditors and will usually accept the DMP payments, even if they squawk at first. So try not to fret about it.
I used to get really wound-up about the debt collection letters, but just phone them up with your Payplan reference number and let them know you will be in touch with Payplan.
Hope that helps!Debt-free in May 2015 with the help of Payplan and MSELightbulb Moment: November 22, 2004 :idea:0
