A very good, if obvious idea. But those are usually the best
.
It might give some building societies the excuse they need to stop spending a fortune on notifying savers by post of every single interest rate change.
I wonder how many of their customers now get less in interest than it has cost the societies to notify them of the change in rates over the last 12 months
