Red Nose Day Gigglers Wanted

My name is Georgie and I am a sight impaired West Highland Terrier rescue dog. I love playing with Gigglers in my new home - (they are soft toy balls with sound box inside like Red Nose Day ones) as I can hear where the toy is and find/fetch it.

I have worn out all the ones Mum got me around Red Nose Day through many hours of happy playing - but now Mum cannot find any more to buy - and I cannot find my toys!!..

It would be great if anybody had any Gigglers (Red Nose Day ones or otherwise) that they weren't using any more.

Georgie, why don`t you get your mum to look on the red nose website? they might still have some to sell her.

Thanks but that was the first place she went to but they have all sold out and she tried local Sainsburys as well (I had to wait outside though)

Have you tried Freecycle? They sound irritating, so lots of people should want to get rid of them:A (I realllllly don't like these noisy things, sorry). Good luck with your hunt.

Good suggestion - I will try that....and yes they are quite irritating (but great for a blind dog as he relies so much more on hearing to makeup for the loss in sight). We have to have "time out" after the first two hours of playing!! :mad: - I wonder how long Georgie would go on playing with it for if I let him?....... my poor neighbours...

I don't have any i'm afraid, but just wanted to say good luck with your search Georgie. Perhaps there is a gap in the market for noisy toys for sight-impaired dogs.

Can't help with giving you a giggler but they are great fun aren't they. I have one too and I drive my owner insane with it. I love hiding it so that she has to search for it. Would give you mine but, well I love it too much to give it away and it really is a bit grotty looking.

What a clever dog you are Georgie. Not only have you trained your pack leader Lovely Lisa to ask her friends to find your favourite toy...............but you've also mastered typing and ordering online. Way to go Georgie Boy!:cool::D

I've really enjoyed reading this thread and I'm so pleased it has a happy ending.

Yes, I am liking my new home - what with my own laptop and paypal account... I think I will order some bones on line while I am waiting for my new giggler toys to arrive.
