  • Hi All.

Would someone be able to provide with with an e.g. daily / weekly eating plan? Just don't know how everyone is sticking to a low fat meal!

    Thanks. xx
  • Hello all,
I have been on this (Alli) for 4 days now and not had any nasty side affects, I mean it has been making me go to the toilet more, (around twice a day) but for only normal stools, just more frequently than i would normally go, which is great for me as i could usually go for at least 4 days without going so if at least its keeping me regular!
I have also had treats I have just eaten a Dairy Milk bar, and yesterday i also had one.
I weighed myself this morning and have lost 4lb so far which is fab, all i have been doing is making sure I am eating all home cooked food so i know what is going into my foos and also recording this on Food Focus which records calories, fat etc of what is in your meal. I have also had a weight watchers meal which was low in fat.
I am enjoing taking them and losing weight so far no exercise which is naughty of me, but i have just had my wii fit delivered so ill be on that tomorrow!
  • hi all,
my DH has been taking the prescribed version for two months now and has lost absolutely NOTHING!!! Not a single pound. Even the doctor is mystified why it hasn't worked. DH has only had one day where he felt 'crampy' in the stomach but thats it. Not impressed with it but doctor says to keep going for another month then look at alternatives.

May I suggest having a look at the link below to see how you can eat real food and lots of it while still losing weight. There are no chemicals involved, just good, healthy eating.

It honestly works (I lost 4½ stone) and this year's Woman of the Year is actress Rebecca Wheatley (she used to be the receptionist on Casualty)....who has lost 12 stone with Slimming World.

I let my mind wander and it never came back!

OK - after my initial scorn on this stuff - I went onto Xenical at my GP's advice back in September I think it was.

Had to prove a commitment to shifting the weight myself first - which I'd done (gym most nights, swimming when the pool's timetable allows, kicking the chocolate habit apart from 1 week in the month!)... then after that, the doctor recommended going onto them as a way to speed up the weight I was already losing.

Side effects - actually they're not that bad unless you're ridiculous with what you eat. You feel a bit like you've got a slightly runny tummy is all (and could fart for England)... only had one real bad episode which was my own dumb fault! Eating now pretty normally since I've got a feel for what I can get away with.

As for weight loss - I'm going down about half a stone or so (was a bit more last month) a month. Lost 3 dress sizes - not sure exactly what my BMI's running at at the moment and about 2 stone overall. Some of that is down to running and other gym work though - and I'm on the prescription strength of the drug rather than the over the counter version.

Has the additional side-effect of me being pretty much mobbed by desperate mums of my brownie pack wanting to know what on earth I'm doing to shift so much weight so quickly though!
Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!

Reductil no longer has a product license as it does more long-term harm than good.
