Confused bankruptcy fees

Hello,
I am sorry for asking questions yet again!!
The situation I am in is I have got a rented property move in end of May, have now got the deposit and first months rent sorted. The problem i am having now is the Bankruptcy fees. Me and my partner are both going bankrupt I only have one month left of not paying out i.e. mortgage. Which will only give us saved up 700 pound. Last month we were meant to be putting 600 pound away and then OH's car caputted and cost us £550 quid to repair!!!
Anyway the question is how long after moving out etc and not paying anything can I go bankrupt just I think it will take us another couple of months at least to get the rest of the fee money through.
What will happen in the mean time apart from the phone calls, worried if we get CCJ's and defaults coming through will that effect anything in regards to the bankruptcy?

Malfollie

I cancelled all of my payments, which left my months wages free for me to pay the £495 I had to pay.

Never appologise for asking questions, thats the whole point of this forum:D.

I am no expert on houses but from what i have read on here it would be a good couple of months before anything were to happen in regards to the house. If you are letting it go then i don't think there is anything they can do which would affect our bc anyway. The house experts will be up and about shortly and correct me if i am wrong on that one:o.Dx

  • it would be at leat 3 months before anything happened with the house so you can miss payments on some of your outgoings to obtain the BR fee, thats what i did. I stopped paying pretty much everything, they just ring you, ignore the phone calls. If you moving to rented anyway it probably wont make any difference when you go bankrupt.
