I've just checked back and there is a bonus rate of 0.75% (to be paid Oct 09) for accounts opened 1 Jul 08 - 28 Sep 08 so it is still slightly higher than the current at present, making it 0.85%... for me... hmmmm, time to move it back before I obviously pop it into a new ISA.

UPDATE - IGNORE MY POST ABOVE
I have just read the interest rates page which rather confusingly says the following:

Balances between £1 and £50,000 in accounts opened before 1 December 2008 may qualify for a 0.75% bonus (giving a rate of 0.85% gross AER).
For accounts opened between 1 January 2008 and 28 September 2008 this bonus will be paid until 31 March 2009.
For accounts opened between 29 September 2008 and 30 November 2008 this bonus will be paid until 7 December 2009.

So now I just don't know what rate is on my Plus Saver as it 'may' qualify or it may be a victim of shifted goalposts (shifted from 30 Sep 09 to 31 Mar 09) and no longer attract the bonus promised when I opened the account in Aug 08.

I have sent a secure message to try and get a definitive answer... watch this space.

    Answer:

"However, there is a bonus of 0.75% on your account, and this will be calculated up to 30 September, and paid with the annual interest on 1 October 2009. "

So for me that means for day-to-day cash movements the Plus Saver still pays more than the Premier Current. Other A&L customers might need to check.

    Cheers.
