bicarb? vinegar? stardrops?
If all those fail then I have no idea...People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Hi mamabear09,
Never posted here before but there's a first time for everything!
Stardrops is my all time favourite cleaner...you can use it for just about everything!! It's really quite cheap aswel which is great! I get mine from semi-chem!Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

Is your tide mark greasy? Or is the graze a little crackled, and the colour of the food has got under it and soaked into the pottery?
If the former, the dishwasher should do it, or spray on some kitchen cleaner or oven degreaser. If the latter, the only thing that MIGHT do the trick is filling the dish with a strong bleach soloution and leaving it to soak in for ages.0 -
the mark is a line going round the inside and is hard and black the pot doesnt seem to be cracked or damaged. Wouldnt bleach make any food in the future taste odd?0

I use fairy power spray on mine, seems to do the trick :j0

Try those white 'magic' sponges - I used them to get the greasy spots off my casserole dish lid which had been there for years. You can buy them cheaply in Home Bargains - they are also great for cleaning hobs!0

I would be careful, my book says not to use anything too abrasive in case you ruin the surface. Have you tried boiling it up with soapy water in? Not done that myself but cant imagine it would leave a taste? Mine had marks, but i just used again and they went away !A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
