all those perfect people living their perfect lives don't exist missnokia! Most people live a lie of some kind in my experience. At least we are being brave and honest with ourselves and our virtual friends on here! Welcome- and click that button on the online banking! NOW!

Hi and well done for facing up. One thing - don't get fixated on your credit score, it doesn't mean anything. And certainly don't pay for it. Credit scores are what scoring agencies use internally; they don't necessarily use the same criteria as a bank or credit card company and so are a bit pointless.

I totally agree about not assuming everyone else is a financial wizard and has utter control over their money. Actually, if you're ever in a position to ask delicate questions you frequently discover most people have a few worries here and there!
I was always concerned about my parents finding out about my level of debt because to me they were, while not remotely 'wealthy', fairly together financially and able to afford household repairs/one holiday a year and so forth. However, since my LBM I've been really honest with them about it all and my dad has since revealed he's never really saved in his life and is literally starting to now (he's 65!), he's never contributed to a private pension and when us kids were young they were forced to borrow money from family occasionally to make ends meet.

I think it's great that you're on here and well done for facing up to the online banking! Get your SOA up when you get the chance and...well just chin up, really!
