i bought a delonghi microwave from argos jan 2008,the turntable has stopped working

Interesting - indeed Delonghi are a funny bunch when it comes to Argos.

We bought a microwave grill from them a couple of years ago - great value and to it's credit it is still going strong, but just before Christmas last year the doorhandle broke off (it's door and fascia is grey plastic rather than stainless steel).

After trawling through Google for a spare I emailed Delonghi, only to be told that it was a special bought in specifically for sale through Argos and there was no spares support. Effectively they were saying that although it had their name on it they didn't want to know!

Being a handy chap I ended up mending it myself. No, I didn't glue it, I stripped the door down and bolted it through - looks quite smart actually!

Sorry that people have had bad experiences with these microwaves. I thought I'd put it up because a similar microwave from Argos's own brand Cookworks was also half price and out of stock. We spotted this while we were returning a product over Easter, saw loads of people buying, so we thought we'd buy something too.

Thankyou well I have just been down and bought one,my micro was not working prop and my oven broke needs repairing ,waiting for a part ,so this is a great offer and looks fab.x

As mentioned above, the Microwave isn't made by Delonnghi its just a re badged Chinese import.

If you think you are getting Delonghi quality then you will be disappointed

I have one boxed and sitting in my hall awaiting my kitchen upgrade, perhaps I better open the box sooner rather than later and actually try it
