Hello and welcome. At the top of the threads in this forum are informative stickies there's one which says read this 1st. To file for bankruptcy you have to attend a county court and pay about £510 unless you're exempt. Also seek advice from debt charities. Good luck.2019 MFW No. 74 £13700/£30000 (45.66%)
12k in 2018 No. 98 £6274.19/£18000 (34.85%)
BTL (start) £97440.00 (current) £68000.00
Residential (start) £275000.00 (current) £268000.000 -
Once you have had the advice, you need to complete the relevant forms - they can be found online and you can complete them that way,or if you prefer print them off and write them by hand. You need to find out how many copies your county court would require.Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

Payplan counts as advice!.
Ring you local court to see what system they operate and how many copies of your SOA they need......some do drop ins others do appointments, some only ask for one copy(and photocopy them for you)some ask for 3. Then you will know what time scale you are looking at.
The forms can take a while to fill in so dont rush it;)Free impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

You would be daft if you didn't get advice as bankruptcy is something that can affect you for life. Only do it if you are absolutely sure there are no alternatives - the judge will want to make sure you know what you're doing before they sign the order.
Read the stickies as iquit has said - all the general information is contained within them and when you have slightly more specific queries, feel free to post back here for advice. Each court is different so call your local county court too to see how they do it. I had to make an appointment which was 6 or so weeks away, then went there, paid the fees, and went back to see the judge the next day.

One thing to bear in mind as well some judges have been known to ask "if you have sought professional advice" IF the answer is no then the papers wont be signedWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

Ok i looked through your last posts and see that payplan gave you 3 options.
IVA i would say is out as they are generally for people with houses to protect and i see you are renting.
DMP would take you 15 years but that is on your present hours.....if the eccomomy improves so should your hours.....which in turn would shorten your DMP
BC LAST RESORT.This is for those who feel they have no option, not saying you dont, but like the others have said think long and hard. It really is a life changing decision. For me it has changed ME.....even now i wish i had had another option. My OH is doing a DMP which will take about 12 years to pay,but believe me it's better than bc. Thats MO,though. Each to their own

Thanks for the last reply Dalip, the DMP is to last for 15 years, thats 15 years of having no money - ive just done that for the last 7 years with my current debts, plus there is no guaruntee (sp) that the debtors will freeze the intrest, they might say so at first but then a year down the line they say hang on we want our intrest or we want increased payments, i dont mean to sound flipant or off with you but i just want to get out of this situation and get some sleep at night lol

As dalip said though you need to think very long and hard about IF bankruptcy is an option you could use....its not the quick fix you think it is TBH its a WHOLE life changing experiance...its took over 2yrs for me to get over things! We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0
