My partner has just made her daughters wedding dress and traipsing round soooo many fabric shops I actually started to look at patterns, and now have a 'wait' list for outfits I want her to make me! And now here are more - excellent, thank you. And there's some lovely vintage one's that my daughter would just love......... I can see my partner will have no time for work

Has anyone got their patterns yet? Ordered on 13th, all I've got is an invoice and the patterns are on "backorder"!

sorry I don't remember exactly which day I ordered mine, maybe a week ago? but all 3 arrived today, maybe the pattern you chose wasn't in stock- but they could have told you that! :T All i need now is to get cutting and stitching!

I know I ordered that one too! I think a pink and green princess fairy tent might just be the thing a pixie needs!

They came today, so off to the fabric shop......so much for money saving!

      3. One of mine has arrived today - 2 more to come! A vintage 1935 evening dress and jacket pattern, I've got some vintage silks in stock so here goes..

The pattern is priced at $25, so given the current exchange rate it's even more of a bargain, especially since the local sewing shop doesn't stock Vogue and doesn't understand the concept of half-price!

Well, I ordered both the teepee and the canopy tent.

        For this one.......
        http://www.sewdirect.com/acatalog/info_1206.html
you use plastic plumbing pipe (dimension in the pattern instructions)

        and for this one
        http://www.sewdirect.com/acatalog/info_1343.html
you use a hula hoop for the top and hang the canopy/tent from the ceiling or such like!

I'm not very experienced at sewing but both the patterns seem really easy to follow.

I;m going to make the teepee for my DS for his birthday and the canopy for my DD for hers! I also ordered this http://www.sewdirect.com/acatalog/info_2413.html
and I thought I might sew some of the flowers to the outside (and maybe hanging down on the inside) of the canopy!
I think I may have just made too much work for myself......

I found this tutorial for a teepee, it might not be as nice as the Butterick one, but it is free!

Hope it's ok to post that on here.

        I'm so excited!!
I went to goldhawk road in shepherds bush for done fabric and wow it's like an aladdins cave there.
I was overwhelmed by the huge array on offer.
So stuck to a black silk for one of the several dresses I'll be making .
        It's 100% silk and just £4 a metre!!
If anyone knows the area go and check it out!!
Third time lucky on WW I hope :j
