LOL MM - if i had £20K i think that would go on a house deposit! So badly want a house with my OH. It will happen soon, it WILL!
Maria - i missed that bit about your OH applying to become an AA driving instructor, i hope he gets it - that'll really help when getting your first property. He needs a lot of patience tho, thats one thing i noticed with *some* male instructors, no bloody patience unfortunately!
I'm lovin' Butlins free scratchies at the mo, so far since Saturday i've had £5, 50p, £1, 50p, £1, i'm used to getting those annoying fishes. Long may it continue :-) £100 would be nice next! :rotfl:The very best things in life ... are free!

Evening everyone, I hope you're all okay. Sorry I haven't been about much, but like I said before I've actually discovered what having a life is like again... I've sold another necklace today which is encouraging, though I spent most of Saturday moaping about being miserable that I'm in debt. I did work out though, that if I can somehow live on £30 a week I should be non student loan debt free by Christmas which would be nice.
I've been keeping it a bit quiet but I also have a new boyfriend... who got a pay rise & bonus today... damn him, he got enough before lol. The only thing I get given at work are loads of cheques that aren't in my name lol.
I hope your OH gets to become an instructor Maria, I still want my own house too, but at the moment I'm so badly paid I don't think it will ever happen. I wish I was that lucky with the scratchcards Hayley, all I've got recently are loads of 10p's.

Nicki- Lol, i discovered my life again...and im now £6k worse off! lol! but its good to have a social life again. Well done to your new man for getting a pay rise and bonus! If only we could all have employers like his!!!
Hayley- How have you been hun? What you been upto?
Well OH got his AA papers and pack to fill out and its costs a total of £2400!!!! I didnt expect it to be cheap but was hoping more along the lines of £1500. But if he wants a decent wage then we will have to find the money some how.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
It is nice to have a life again, but it obviously isn't as cheap as brooding at home lol. I'm trying not to really drink which doesn't make it too bad. A pint of coke in one of the pubs we often go to is only £1.30 which is do-able.
That's a lot of money, but it will be worth it in the long run, just make sure he checks that he could get work after it. I heard about one company training people up but they didn't get any work at the end of it which is terrible after spending that much. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
Yea, im the same in pubs i often go for a j2o as they normally only cost around £1.50 and dont bloat you out like coke and lemonade does!
His going to ring them as he has questions to ask them about work after the course. As they say if he cant find students they guarantee students to give him. But how can they guarantee that though?Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
hi everyone,
Well done on the new boyf Nikki, hehe! Glad to see you have been out there having some fun as well.
The course fees would be worth it iif he will be earning more but like you said it is still quite a lot! My OH is starting his police training monday and will be on twice what he is now, so that is exciting for us.0 -
Evening girlies,
Nic - great news about the new new BF getting a pay rise and bonus, i need one of them right about now. I'm spending money at the mo likes there's no tomorrow. Need to stop that!
Maria - I'm good chick - because i now have a car I'm out a lot more and spending money, i am loving having a car tho. Had my KA 4 weeks and i'm bored of it already, seen a really nice Mini Cooper S which i badly want, want something with a little more power. Hows your clio cup? bet thats a nice drive hun.
I hope Dawn is alright - we're here if you need us hun! xxThe very best things in life ... are free!

hahaha! Aww, try to stick to your KA for at least a year so you can get a no claims built up. Then go for some POWER! OOOoo i did look at mini cooper S before deciding on the CUP, they are cute lil cars!
Yea love the Clio 182, although dont like the empty space left in my savings and bank account!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Hehe - yeah thats the thing Maria, expensive cars means no £££- i don't like the sound of that. Totally agree re no claims, will really help with my insurance with a mini - otherwise i can see the insurance being ridiculously expensive. KA was £600 for a year, so i can imagine the Mini being £1K+. I'm trying to persuade my OH to let me drive his white BMW 1 series.
Jen - hows the love bite? hehehe! get any funny stares today? I didn't realise it was glastonbury already, lets hope its nice weather then. The very best things in life ... are free!
