I'm not sure Jen, it's closer to where I live than the one I'm doing at the moment, and it pays £7-£12k more, but it's on Wednesday so I'd have to ask for the day off which means losing money if I don't get it as I won't have accrued enough holiday to get it off paid yet (and my team leader isn't back til Monday so would only be 2 days notice). Plus to be honest I like the people where I am, and I've only just settled into doing the job again. Argh! To be honest at the moment the thought of it is making me a bit uneasy, so maybe it's best avoided, I know it pays a lot more but *geh*. This is a horrible decision.

sounds like you have decided already that you are happy where you are!

Believe it or not money isn't everything! I would rather do a job with people that are nice than have more money per hour!

That is great news about paypal!

    Hey all,

I've been on my hol's at the seaside all week....never go to hastings!!! OMG there's nothing there! Ghost town!!! Although i really enjoyed Brighton, and the weather all week was lovely hot and sunny. Hardly spent any money as there wasnt much to do! haha
Also i won a £10 free bar tab at yates' today! It has to be used by 30th June, i may give it away to a friend.

Nicki- £7-12k is alot of difference. But if your happy in your job, and happy with the pay why move. I seriously need a new job, its only the people that keep me there.

MM- Hope your feeling better now, well done on the game sale

Jen- Hope you had a good night sleep on your new mattress! :)

That is amazing news about paypal!!! i just sold a few more things so thats good. Nicki you might like where you are but if you go to the interview and get offered the job, atleast you have the decision as to which one you want. In a few months things could change and you might decide you want more pay instead?! I say go for it, if you find you dont want it in the end then just say no thanks. :D

Glad you're feeling better MM, and hope you're enjoying your mattress Jen.
I would love a holiday, but not going to happen this year.
Nicki I'm sure you'll know what to do about the job.

I checked out OH's bank acc online this afternoon and got a bloody shock! Who would live with men. Thankfully it would seem that he also looked at it today and shocked himself. Needless to say we now have an overdraft to clear on an account he doesn;t even use!! The bank have been charging him for the privilige for quite a while it would seem. grrrrrr.

So more debt busting to be done and some re working of the budgets, but we;ve had a chat and I think he's on the same wave length as me (he better be lol)

Just when I was going to have a break from ebay too lol, need to think of a few ways to generate some cash as well as start to save for xmas blah blah blah.

And how many people in my family need to have a birthday in July! I mean really couldn;t they wait a couple of months lol.

    Sorry rant over.

Seems like nearly everyone has been about today :). I'm glad you're better mm, and that your new mattress is good Jen. At least you didn't spend much Maria lol. Hopefully you can clear the overdraft soon Yukki.

I've decided not to go to the interview, although the actual work I'm doing doesn't stimulate me at all (I started doing what should be Monday mornings work at 12 today because I'm so far ahead) and the pay is rubbish, I do like the people, so I'm going to stick it out for a bit. Plus I'm in so much debt I can't really afford to lose £50 plus travel for the day off work, and the email said to bring my exam certificates which, bar my degree one, worryingly seem to have disappeared since my sister cleared out the filing cabinet.

Although the contract is technically only for 3 months they're basically ongoing like my last one was. I'm going to give it a year and see if I can work hard and make my way to non-dom d&q, that's basically designing the gas infrastructure for new housing & industrial estates/shopping centres etc. My friends who do that are on about £15p/h, which is over double what I'm on at the moment, and I know I'm perfectly capable of doing it if I'm trained up. If I can't do that I'll have to try and find something else when the job market stabilises a bit.
