God it's late... all this talk of teeth got me thinking about my own, and how bad they are. I know this is awful, but I haven't been to the dentist for nearly two years and my teeth are in a horrible state.
I really want to go to the dentist, but 1. I dunno which one to go to as I don't trust any of them, 2. I am so anxious I can't even make the appointment, & 3. I'm sure it's gonna be sooo expensive. I know MM said she gets valium from her doctor, but I would feel so stupid making an appointment to ask for it. Arghhhh. I also seriously need to go to the optician - another thing that I keep putting off because I'm scared:rolleyes::mad:
Anyway it's late & I'm rambling. Henry hoovers are GREAT. We got one last year to replace our 20-yr old Vax and it is amazinggg! I think we paid about £85 so you got a bargain, Jen.0 -
calm down cl one thing at a time. Could someone phone and make an appointment for you? I would do the opticians first as that would be easiest and probably the most possitive! I would be a major acheivement if you could phone and book and go to the opticians. you have achieved so much this year just take one step at a time!
1) Book an opticians appointment. i would either get one for asap to get it over and done with or in a few weeks to space it out and give you some time.
2) you will have to go to the appointment or phone again to cancel it if you can't go. Have you got someone that could go with you?
Go on do it we are all behind you!:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

I had my first ever delivery from them yesterday, there website is a bit pants to be honest and i thought i had ordered 1ltr apple juice and got 3 small cartons with straws, thought i had ordered sliced corn beef but a tin arrived. Not there fault, it was as the website is rubbish!
Some things were very cheap though and lots of multi buy offers so i will test it all and defo order again if i like it.

Hi CL-yep i know what you mean-i need to go to the opticians as well and I hate it, luckily I cant afford it so thats my excuse for now lol.
As for the dentist, to find a good one the best way is to ask around friends and family and find out where they go, not many people continue to go to a bad dentist. Yes it will be expensive but it is well worth it-I had to have 4 teeth out but now most times i go its just a check up and outta there!
Go to your doctors (if you cant talk to him/her try seeing the Sister instead thats what I do) or change your doctor. Tell them that you are doing well with your fears eg going to college etc but the one thing you cant face is the dentist, tell him your fears and panics and explain that you really need to go because you are in pain. He will probably suggest valium without you mentioning it. If not just say 'I heard that sometimes valium is prescribed for nervous patients is that an option for me?. Thousands of people take it for this including my boss so its nothing to be ashamed of.
Good luck, once you have got it over with its such a relief!0 -
Well i have a very exciting day planned, me and OH need to empty our loft as getting new insulation next Friday, we cleared out our spare room a bit yesterday and i finally emptied 3 boxes that had been in the cupboard in there since we moved in and chucked a lot of stuff away, we really need to go down the tip as our shed is full of electrical rubbish now as can't chuck that in the wheelie bin.
I also need to do some dooyoo as managed none yesterday, was going to last night but got sucked into eurovision! Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0
