hi all
good luck at the dentist! I hope it goes pkay and pain free!:o
I have looked into all the possiblitiies for buying the house and i is a NO :mad:at the moment!
I have decided instead of struggling now i am going to wait 3 YEARS:eek::eek: I will be 33 years old then!
I know it is a long time but it will fly by.! (I hope) by then i would have finished the course i just started and dd will be 11/12! so she will be a big school so i can work more hours! Also at the moment i am saving £35 a week from my wages next week i increase my hours from 18.5 to 23 hours so hope to have an extra £50 a week to save i hope!!
so if i can save £85 a week from my wages that will be £4,420 a year (or £13,260 over 3 years!)
that is not including any free money or e bay etc.
so my aim is to wait 3 years then i can work more hours save more money and have a smaller morgage and a more comfortable life! Whats the hurry anyway if i wait 3 years i will be 33 years old and have amanagable morgage! I think that is a great aim!!
I will break down some smaller targets sometime!
Today is my day off and i have uni work coming out for my ears so i am going to knuckle down and get loads done!!
Whats everyone else doing today?:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

That sounds like a good idea Jen, it may seem like a long time but like you said will fly by.
I am at work today , is going quite quick this week though.0 -
Thanks Wendz i think it will take me a while to come to terms with the new plan but i can't really see any other way and at least it will be manageable in the end so i can have a life and a house!:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart

I'm here...
Well done on the sale mm. Although three years seems like a long way away I'm sure it will fly past like you said Jen. You'll be a lot more comfortable with a bigger deposit so I'm sure it will be worth it in the long run. I think I'm looking at at least three years too, probably more if I'm honest. Houses are far too expensive around here! An average 3 bed terrace with nothing special about it is around £170,000 .
Oh, in better news I've won £12 from free scratchcards so I'm going to add that to my overdraft fund...Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
That is nothing a tiny one bed flat here is about 200,000 lol. Then again it is London.
Well done on the scratchcards!0 -
And that's why I won't be moving to London lol. It is crazy. I'm considering looking for better paid jobs in London and commuting from where I live now, but I think 45 minutes on the train each way, plus wherever I have to get to from Victoria would wear me down very quickly. OH works in Leatherhead so working somewhere around there wouldn't be so bad. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470

When I started my job I commuted from southampton and took nearly two hours in total. Takes me nearly 50 mins to get to work now and i live in zone 2 as got to walk to tube station etc. I much cheaper to live elsewhere if you can get a job somewhere else.0
