  • Hi guys hope i'm posting in the right place... i have been feeling really weak today...been making lots of overpayments to my debt recently (boot sales, amazon extra job etc) and today have had that pang of "but don't I deserve something?" i really want an Iphone and at £340 for an old style one they are still stupidly expensive but i want one..... help...been thinking that the extra stuff i have done recently has meant i could get one without putting myself back to square one but it will still be a bigger chunk backwards than it could be towards debt freedom...

Hi Bells and Whistles welcome to the thread-you are definately in the right place but I am def not the right person to give helpful advice as I've just changed my car again and also own an Iphone (I am a bad girl lol)
I'm the same-I do really well and then think-ooh i deserve a treat... what you have to remember is its not just the initial purchase of the phone its the contract as well, £35 a month for sensible amounts of texts and minutes. But...i'd wait for someone more sensible than me to answer you :-) xx

    Hi

I probably won't be much help either - I think a phone's a phone and don't see what all the fuss is about

Ditto yukki, i say clear the virgin cc then when you can possibly treat yourself, or like me i am waiting untill i am debt free before i buy anything like that (i have also wanted an iphone for ages) but by the time i clear my debt, something even better and swankier will be out so might as well save my money for then and i can afford it!
Due to budget cuts the light at the end of the tunnel will be switched off.

O2 are supposedly losing the exclusivity of the Iphone so it might get cheaper soon anyway :)
