Right, have been engaged to my wonderful fiance for over three years now and we have set a date: 17th September 2010, which will be our sixth anniversary...except it will turn into our 0th anniversary.... oh I know what I mean. :rotfl:
That's about 18 months away so we need to find and book a venue etc. Does anyone think that a dress off Ebay would be ridiculous?
I know there is the disadvantage that you can't try it on. My mother was married a couple of years ago; her dress was about £20 off Ebay and it was an absolute bargain because it looked gorgeous.
I also need to get my wedding car on the road... it is my Dad's old car that was given to me when I was 15. Unfortunately it was severely damaged in an accident several years ago and we have been rebuilding it, but I said when I was 12 or 13 that it would be my wedding car and I intend to stick to it!
I think I sound completely mad after reading that back....

congratulations! You don't sound daft at all!
Many people on here get their dress from ebay so you are in god company - if you want something custom made check out the landy or milly threads - just search for them in this forum.

Thanks!
I had a brief look on Ebay but was a bit overwhelmed by the choice so left it with the intention of having a proper look in the near future!
As for colour scheme, I haven't really thought about it. White or ivory for the dress, with perhaps a dark red or purple for the bridesmaids?
I plan to ask my sister to be Maid of Honour; she is very good with that sort of thing so she will have some good ideas. :rotfl:0 -

My plan is to go and try somethings on with an aim to finding it on e-bay, picking a big designer with lots of styles its fairly easy to find them, then you get an idea of what colours/styles work best before you buy it!0
