  • Thanks think I'll defo buy a mitt this weekend and perhaps try a lotion instead of the spray stuff although I must say my boyfriend does an excellent job of spraying me haha poor guy he puts up with a lot!! Did it last night and quite pleased with it today. Thinking I might put on a bit more though....oh dear see what you've started?!

With the celeb secrets then do you just put it on with the mitt and not bother with a spray thing or are you saying before that you just buy a wee spray thing and use that then rub it in? feel so much better with some colour!!

    xx

Hi Joanneinwonderland, the product comes in a straightforward plastic bottle, I was less than careful and spilt it everywhere so I transfered it to a cheap small plastic spray bottle, although I did this to avoid any more accidents I have found that spraying directly onto the skin or on to the applicator gives more control and a better finish. You dont need to buy an airbrush machine or anything more than a mit and back applicator (if you need one), just for everyones info I have done 6 full body applications so far and would guess I have about 3 left from the small size bottle - that really is money saving - I'm so pleased:T

Haha we should start a tan addicts club :)

We all qualify lol i personally love talking about it and learning about it more than applying it strange really lol.
I did actually think of making my own Bespoke tan solution but i think it would be cheaper to buy ready made as they can probably get the ingredients a heck of a lot cheaper. There is someone on ebay that has made their own tanning lotion it does sound nice, cooling aloe base, luxurious oils to moisturise and protect skin oooh and it sounds expensive but it's not too bad.

It is easy enough to whip something nice and natural and luxurious up just need to source the ingredients form ebay or the likes, i am going to splurge out and get pure rose oil and pure jasmine oil to make my body moisturiser really luxurious and sweet smelling.
Some people are charging up to £20 for whipped shea moisturisers so it is a popular product, i just hate the way that "known" brands say it contains skin loving ingredients such as aloe, shea, cocoa butter but when you look at the ingredients they are at the bottom and in minute amounts :( but i am a female and all those shiny adverts seduce me into trying most products lol but am learning now that i can probably make them myself and a heck of a lot cheaper with more of the ingredients in it and organic too!!

WOW Glowgirls thats a good amount of apps was it the 125 ml bottle you got again?? If so that is really good as usually they say you are "supposed" to get 2-3 full bod applications, i find with mitt or sponge application you can apply a thinner coat that does the same job and as you said the spraying give better control i also found this with mine, i sprayed on my skin and sponged in or rubbed with gloves.:T:T

Its the 125 ml bottle, it does sound a lot dosn't it? but it is right, it seems on me a little goes a long way, I'm certainly not being sparing with it and I have a great colour, of course I'm not complaining:D

Rodial Brazilian dark is the darkest tan that I know of and it does not go orange, not cheap though!

Thank you, I have tried Rodial Brazilian before and whilst it was dark and actually a really nice product to use I found the cost prohibitive, Lancaster was another fav of mine, not as expensive as Rodial probably on a par with Clarins (another decent product) but for the depth of colour I like it was far to expensive long term, I also found that all the above products had that weird fake tan smell (which can be strangly addictive) but I have no problems with the cost or smell or effectivness of the Celebrity Secrets product I have been recommnded to use. Still waiting for the Siennasol samples, postie hasnt been yet so fingers crossed for today:)
